This book was a good eye opener. I believe that I should be kept for many years to come. It could teach many people at this school not to take things for granted. This book also bring us into African Culture and expands our horizons.
This book could use some tweeking though. I think that the work was jammed into a short period of time. Because personally it took much longer to read one chapter of this book than it did to read three of Lord of the Flies. This is becasue the book is boring. Also we did the projects and they should too.
On the other hand the projects are too close together.They need to be more dragged out. Like have one project due every week so that the students have more time to read. I also think that there should be more little quizes. To even out the points.
Finnally i think some of the work is tedious and could be modified. Like the play list could be shortened a little. Finding a song is hard enough but having to write a paragraph about it. And the essays should be more points.
Hey Cameron. While I don't agree that NC was a great book, I do like the idea of having more time for the projects. I am not really a procrastinator, but a little more time would have been nice.
ReplyDeleteI definitely agree with you on the projects, especially them being too close together. I also don't get what you mean when you say the book needs tweeking. Do you mean the amount of reading we had to do was close together or that something was wrong in the book?
