The First thought that must be going through your head must be Stolen Sleep what the heck is that. I heard of stolen pencils, stolen money or even stolen ideas. But stealing sleep never heard of. Well stealing is something i have never done with the exception of sleep. Stolen sleep is (by a definition from a friends parent) the act of waking up to turn off your alarm, getting dressed for school and then go back to sleep "stealing" more sleep before the bus.
Stolen sleep is most common among students with difficult classes and sports after school (a.k.a. night owls) these student have this habit of stealing sleep due to the amount of home work assigned each day. But some students are able to control their time I am not one of those students. So stealing sleep is one of my most routine hobbies. Can cause students to miss the bus maybe a few times causing them to then get detentions and on and on.
As you can see this small nap will turn into many colleges or workplaces don't take you in because you have a suspension and many detentions on your permanent record. So as parents have always told you never to steal something. I would say don't steal sleep in the moring but to get you work done earlier in the evening.

I really like your title and concept here, Cameron. It seems like in the end, though, you are not defending the practice of stealing sleep but pointing out its potential pitfalls. What would you defend? Watch out for run-on sentences and comma splices in your writing.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you, Cameron. Everyone needs sleep.
