In the Defense of Food I have to say is not a book for kids our age. But after the slow and boring introduction it actually gave us us extremely important facts on how to monitor our eating. Which for our generation it is critical for us to monitor our eating. I actually thought is was a very informative read. After I read the book I thought wow I've never know this much about food. I thought that the information was so helpful that when my mom and I ( she read the book to) go to the supermarket we imply his rules about buying food. We also imply his rules at the table.
But there were moments of the book were I was like duh that is common sense. Along with moments like god how have we let our country's diet go to such a bad state. I thought that all he had to say was go out and join a sport or walk for 20 minutes a day. But other than those reasons I thought it was a good read. But your inclined to your own opinion.
Thanks for reading stay tuned for more

Cameron, I enjoyed reading your thoughts about In Defense of Food, and it is exciting that your mom read it too and that you are thinking about it in your daily life. I see good thinking about reading. In terms of writing, be careful of sentence fragments and run-ons, and pay close attention to your punctuation.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your statement of "duh that is common sense" about most of the book, but as we all know, humans have a way of doing the opposite of what is common sense.
ReplyDeleteThis book was a bit boring at the beginning, but at least it was only 150 pages unlike Palace Walk. You have to agree with me that this was better.
